Zotac GTX 980 AMP! Extreme Review

Testing – Metro Last Light

Metro Last Light is an absolutely brilliant game, and the dark, detailed environments make for a great test of graphics cards. This was a game that liked the Surround resolution in the benchmark tool, so a 3840 x 1080 run was completed first.

The settings chosen were: Resolution: 3840 x 1080; DirectX: DirectX 11; Quality: Very High; Texture filtering: AF 4X; Advanced PhysX: Disabled; Tesselation: Normal; Motion Blur: Normal; SSAA: OFF;

The average is key in this result, as the game itself is very strenuous and the GTX 980 blasts through with a very playable average frame rate of just under 50fps

A 1920 x 1080 run was next and as expected the scores were just a bit higher. With a far smoother 80fps average overall

The settings for this run were: Resolution: 1920 x 1080; DirectX: DirectX 11; Quality: Very High; Texture filtering: AF 4X; Advanced PhysX: Disabled; Tesselation: Normal; Motion Blur: Normal; SSAA: OFF;
