CM Storm Mizar Gaming Mouse Review
Testing
Much like the Nova Touch, I’ve had this mouse for a while now and I’ve been using it as a daily driver replacement as well as for gaming. After setting up the DPI settings and a few macros that I have begun to use recently I started by going into a few of my favourite games.
I started with a game I have been replaying over recent months, Borderlands 2. I’ve completed this a few times, but have recently took to playing through once again with my friend DanLV who had up until recently not played it. It is a nice FPS to play, which is made even more fun with friends.
To make it usable for me I had to adjust the DPI down a few notches, far from its 8200DPI max, where 360 spins were a matter of looking at the mouse incorrectly. To DPI’s of around 800-2000 where my large mouse area meant I could make full use of the surface available to me.
When set with these lower options, the mouse tracked and glided very nicely over the hard mouse mat I normally use. I swapped around to a cloth mat midway through and the mouse tracked brilliantly once again.
I then moved into a couple of games that featured more solid amounts of clicking, it primarily consisted of me trying to win in Civilization 5, despite my best efforts this was not often a successful endeavour.
