Play Expo Blackpool – 2022!
Play Expo is back -in Blackpool- for 2022 and I will be there both days.
These past few years for Covid have been tough for events and Play Expo is no stranger to it. With their being postponements for their events over the shutdown period as there were for many other events.
Back at the Norbreck Castle at the wonderful Blackpool coast (though not in the lovely summer weather) they will be hosting a number of talks, traders and games for everyone who is attending.
This years guests include the amazing Tim Follin, a video game composer, who composed a number of amazing tracks for games in the late eighties. Using what little hardware was available they composed some amazingly complex and expressive tracks for games such as Silver Surfer and Solstice for the NES among others.
It’ll be nice to see them after the event in 2019 when they signed my copy of Solstice!
Others such as John Romero will also be in attendance talking about their history in the industry as well
I’m not sure if there will be any cosplay event going on but it will be nice to see a few familiar faces in attendance. So if you see me don’t forget to say hi!
