EGX 2016 only a few days away
Britain’s annual gaming expo, EGX is back again at the massive Birmingham NEC. This time with an even larger ensemble of industry veterans and indie devs showcasing their latest and greatest games.
One my picks will be the Square-Enix lineup, after seeing the Deus Ex Mankind Divided at last years show I am extremely interested in the Square-Enix stand, as Final Fantasy 15 in playable form will be available to get my grubby hands on. Alongside a few other gems including Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (The last release in the lead up to Kingdom Hearts 3)
As my inbox will attest, the number of Indie studios showcasing is massive. With a large number of games ready to play; thankfully there is no The Mannequin Game but one game I will hopefully be able to take a look at is Mekazoo, a very interesting 2D side-scrolling platformer game from Good Mood Creators.
One game that I have heard nothing but positive news about is also going to be available for pre-order. City of the Shroud is a tactical RPG where the cumulative efforts of the user base will shape how the episodic parts unfold and If that all sounds a bit crazy and odd, well it kind of is. I hope to ask them a few questions about it when I am down there. I have to admit I am already in love with the music in the videos.
Gran Turismo Sport will be playable, a game I missed the chance of playing at Insomnia, as well as Battlefield 1 and I hope that EA are a bit more reasonable about photographs this time……
