Glorious PC Gaming Race Wrist Pad Review
In Practice
I have used this rest as a replacement for my Ducky Leather one, which I reviewed some months ago, is a different beast compared to the Glorious Full Size Wrist rest, not least the fact it costs around $15 more than the Glorious to buy. (PC Gaming Race do have a sale on at the moment which means you can buy it for around $14 – Win!)
The Glorious Wrist Pad is around 20mm high and is primarily designed for use with mechanical keyboards, this does mean that if you want to use it with other types of keyboard it may be a bit too high to be comfortable. I initially thought it might be too high for the Ducky I was using it with, however after using the rest for a few days I realised I was mistaken.
The cloth used for the Glorious Wrist Pad is exceptionally comfortable, and the foam inner gives a nice balanced amount of support unlike the Ducky which can be considered quite firm.
The stitching around the edges is a nice touch and means that it is unlikely to suffer from fraying, although without months of use it is hard to say if this will last as I have seen other brands stitching come away over time.
One issue I could see occurring is the wear and tear of the actual logo on the Glorious Wrist Pad itself. It looks like a printed logo and on my pad had some wear around the edges of the lettering and logo, not a deal breaker I admit, especially as they give you a sticker so you can always remember your allegiance.
