Tt eSports Cronos Gaming Headset Review
Conclusion
Overall the Tt eSports is okay, its not an amazing piece of hardware by any stretch. When you consider that they are using the same size drivers as lots of other manufacturers the lack of bass is a bit disappointing. Otherwise the audio quality achieved from the Cronos is certainly adequate.
The use of a permanently attached mic is also a bit of an oddity considering that the Cronos have been partially designed for use with mobile devices in mind. It is a clunky addition to an otherwise nicely styled headset. Having a detachable mic, along the lines of other manufacturers would have helped with the Cronos.
Additionally the use of a proprietary cable fitment to the headset is also a bit annoying, if the cable were to get damaged there is little chance of finding a replacement which would likely mean a costly replacement set of headphones and whilst Tt eSports are not alone in using proprietary cables, I wish that such a practice would end.
With the price of the Tt eSports Cronos currently coming in at around £50, I feel that they are a bit on the expensive side for the performance they offer.
Unfortunately no award today for the Tt eSports Cronos gaming headset, but either way I would like to thank Thermaltake for sending them out to me to review.
