Ducky Mini Keyboard Review
Testing
I know I mentioned in the first paragraph that it had been a long time since I had reviewed a gaming keyboard, but in actuality the Ducky Mini whilst being able to fulfil this role, is more akin to a purists typing keyboard. Lots of the features from a normal full size keyboard are still here, they are just condensed onto a function layer and act as secondary functions. Thankfully the Ducky Mini lights up the various function modes when the Fn key is pressed.
This allows you to easily see at a glance the options available. The lighting mode controls are handled in the same way by pressing Fn + AltGr.
The layout of the Ducky Mini will look familiar to all, but the features of the Fn layer will be interesting to some that have 60% keyboards already. The Ducky Mini has inbuilt emulation for the mouse on the QWERASDF Keys. This allows you to navigate on screen without moving your hands from your keyboard.
WASD – Handles the movement much like in most FPS Games
Q + E – Handles the left and right mouse buttons
R + F – Handles the scroll wheel functionality
Other features such as the F Row and arrow keys are all compressed onto the other spare parts of the keyboard meaning you are not without key features.
